Paws for Hope

The gift bags were put together for the guests that evening and this one was in the perfect spot to catch my donated fish piece.
Paws for Hope

A charitable event honoring our paw friends hosted by The View On Elm in downtown Greensboro, NC. Becky Causey, the owner of The View On Elm is quite the giver and especially when it comes to her sidekick Chihuahuas. I was so glad to be able to take part in this event last weekend. The food was delicious and local by M'Coul's and Table 16. I couldn't seem to get away from the salmon appetizers once I discovered them.
I am so thankful for mom's support and encouragement.

Dochas
The painting made it to the wall of of bareness. "Dochas" is the name of this piece, which means "hope" in Irish. It is a recycled window that was painted with acrylic.

And we had a winner. Thank you Mr. B! It was an honor to see this painting sold to you.

Mom
She was stunning.
But it should also be noted that Marti Kennedy looked great in her new shoes and Debbie West did a superb job while showing off her photography skills to capture the moments. Mom and these ladies also played a big role in making this event happen. Well done!

I was inspired to do hearty-Valentine things when I saw hot pink poster board yesterday at Target. I came home and drew out all different sizes of hearts, cut them out, and put them all over our house. I put them in my roommate's rooms on their mirrors, our kitchen hanging from the lighting, and little accents on most of the walls in the house. I am glad Valentine's Day is not approaching yet so we have a little time to enjoy the simple craft of hearts. We are ready here. Happy early Valentine's Day! Tell those that you love how much you love them! <3

Happy New Year!
The 2012 new year is off to a good start. Christmas went well with the fam and friends that I am thankful for. And then we noodled right on into the New Year! Ain't life grand! The Spring semester starts on Monday. The plans for this semester are on a role as well. The TOMS club is planning an event or two for this semester and I am looking forward to them. But before my semester starts, I am working on some sketches for a painting and wanted to share because I am enjoying working on these and actually even want a parrot painting for myself. In between the sketches, I found time for making banana pudding. Yum!

After Pinterest surfing, Banana Pudding was the end result. I started as a BP rookie, but the finished product was a success and will be in the running for future desserts to make again.
